Postscript 6/27/08: The drop-down jump menu referred to in this post has since been replaced with my own custom designed buttons. Aren't they cool?
One of the key issues in web design is navigation. A good web designer will plan a website's navigation in such a way that users can easily find their way around. Have you ever gotten lost while visiting a website? I have. I hate that.
Most of the websites that I design have a global navigation menu that appears on each and every page...except this one. That's why I added a jump menu to WebmasterJim.com. See it? Over there to the left side of the page under my logo. I know, you may think it's a little old fashioned. But, I prefer to think of it as classic, or timeless, or maybe even a little nostalgic.
Whatever term you want to subscribe to my "new" drop-down jump menu, at least there will finally be a global navigation menu on WebmasterJim.com (once I get it added to all my pages). That way no matter what page you land on around here, you can still get to wherever you want to go. So, as the song goes, go ahead and jump.
