I Missed World UFO Day

July 2nd was World UFO Day. Since I didn't find out until July 10th, it was too late for me to mark the occasion. Although honestly, I don't know exactly what I would have done differently that day. I had never heard of World UFO Day, which got me to thinking, just how many Days are there? I think there's an Ice Cream Day. I know there's a Star Wars Day, which is May 4th ("May the 4th be with you!" I love that.)

After a little research, I discovered that there appears to be a "Day" for every day of the year. And many Days share a Day with other Days. World UFO Day, for example, is also National I Forgot Day and National Anisette Day. Now I didn't check all 365 days, so I am not one hundred percent certain that each day has a Day, but I'm thinking it's a safe bet. Oh, and for those of you that really know me... of course I checked... and there is... Star Trek Day is September 8th.

In reflection, I really don't know if I will do anything special next year on World UFO Day now that I can put a reminder on my calendar. Maybe I'll take a moment to look up and watch the sky, or stream "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," which I don't think I've seen in its entirety. In the meantime, I humbly ask my clients to mark the following on their calendar for next year: July 6th is Take Your Webmaster to Lunch Day. And if you're already booked for lunch that day, I eat breakfast and dinner too.
