My name is Jim Robertus, and I'm a web designer and developer based in Lincoln, Nebraska, with more than 26 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining websites.

I specialize in creating websites with a distinctive look and identity. Many websites today follow similar design patterns, with the most noticeable difference being the logo or branding. There's nothing inherently wrong with that approach. If a website is well built, looks professional, and presents its content clearly and logically, it has accomplished its purpose.

My approach is different. I treat every website as a one-of-a-kind creation, designed around the identity, content, and goals of the person or organization it represents. I consider web design an art, but great web development goes far beyond aesthetics.

A successful website must also be structurally sound, thoughtfully organized, and intuitive to navigate. The best websites bring all of these elements together—distinctive design, solid development, clear organization, and an experience that simply makes sense to the people using it.
